Meet Dr. Gharagozlou

Dr. Barsam Gharagozlou is a board-certified pediatrician specializing in pediatric and adolescent medicine, including caring and treatment of patients of various ages and developmental stages, such as newborns, infants, children, and adolescents, from birth to 26-year-old.

Dr. Gharagozlou is board certified in pediatrics by the American Academy of Pediatrics. He completed his internship and residency training in General Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, in Newark, New Jersey. He joined Valley Children’s Healthcare in August 2016. He treats patients in the north valley community at Emanuel Medical Center in Turlock, where he also served as Chairman of the Pediatric Department.

Dr. Gharagozlou moved to the East Bay Area in 2018 and established his solo practice in Pittsburg, CA., where he works as a community pediatrician and serves patients in Pittsburg, Antioch, Bay Point, Concord, Brentwood, and nearby communities. Dr. Gharagozlou is Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, and he is a member of Section on Administration and Practice Management.


Dr. Gharagozlou’s clinical interests include care of newborns and infants, in the fields of allergy, asthma, and immunology; sleep medicine; and obesity management. He enjoys developing long-term relationships with his patients so that he can better understand and serve their medical needs.

When he is not busy seeing patients, Dr. Gharagozlou enjoys spending time with his family, reading, traveling, and playing Tennis.
